Service Truck Operator
McArthur River Mine is one of the world’s largest producers of zinc, supplying 70% of global demand for a high-grade bulk zinc-lead-silver concentrate. We have just undertaken a $360M expansion and upgrade of our mine and processing facilities, which is now in operation.
We currently have a requirement for a Service Truck Operator to join our Mining Maintenance team on site. Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities include:
- Refuelling and daily maintenance of designated Mobile and Fixed Plant Equipment
- Ensuring fuel and other consumables are recorded on a daily basis per machine unit
- Ensuring all relevant paper is done such as prestart, relevant service sheets, equipment parts list, component change out sheets etc. in a legible manner.
To secure this role you will need to hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence and several years of experience in a similar role. Exposure to mobile equipment and general maintenance of diesel fleet equipment is preferred.

Drilll Fitter

We currently have a requirement for a Drill Fitter to join our Mining Maintenance team on site. Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities include:
- Managing repairs and breakdown with minimal supervision
- Mechanical servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on designated Mobile and Fixed Plant Equipment to OEM standards
- Completing all relevant paperwork such as prestart, service sheets, equipment parts list, component change out sheets etc.
- Ensuring all tooling and equipment is used and maintained in a professional manner
- Mentoring and developing the skills of Apprentices
To secure on of these roles you should have a Certificate III Engineering – Diesel Fitter qualification and a minimum of 2 years of post trade experience. You should also have experience with Sandvik DPI1500 drill rigs and a DR460 rotary drill. Hydraulics and Auto Electrical experience is essential.

Ore Prep Technician

We are seeking safe and enthusiastic individuals to join our ore operation crews. In your new role you will work as part of a small team and operate both fixed and mobile experience in the crushing area.
To secure one of these roles you will need to have previous experience working with crushing equipment, including jaw and cone crushers, screens and conveyors. You are a diligent team player that thrives on producing outstanding results from your area.

Process Technician

We are seeking safe and enthusiastic individuals to join our processing operations. In this new role you will work as part of a small team. You will operate some of our brand new equipment, and will work across and develop skills in a wide variety of including crushing, grinding, heavy medium plant, flotation, thickening, and leaching.
You will have a minimum 18 months processing experience in a metalliferous operation, and be able to demonstrate a safe approach to your work. You are a diligent team player that thrives on producing outstanding results from your area. You may have exposure to lead/zinc processing, but it is not essential. Preferably you will hold Cert II in Metalliferous Mining Operations – Processing

Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently performing all warehouse functions – Receipt, Pick, Count, Load, Unload, Dispatch and Deliver - to provide safe, fast, reliable and low cost services to Glencore Mount Isa Mines.
You will ideally bring past experience of stores or warehouse work in a large organisation - though work involving a high degree of numeracy and literacy in a service industry will also be highly regarded. You will have an eye for detail, be highly organised, take pride in providing a quality service and work well within a team, while always focusing on safety and having an expectation that you will be held accountable for your actions. You will be highly competent at operating a computer and maintaining accurate records. A current manual driver licence is essential.
Qualifications in warehousing/inventory management and a HR drivers’ licence will make you a stand out.
