Job Purpose
Ensure timely delivery of
procured imported/local chemicals from the vendors to the respective site and
ensure effective coordination of the entire ‘purchase order-to-vendor payment’
cycle
Job Accountabilities
1) Monitor post-Purchase Order activities with respect to timely
delivery of procured items from the vendors to the respective Site
i. Monitor timely and
efficient execution of the following activities:
a. Tracking the progress on
delivery of ordered items
b. Continuous follow-up
with vendors regarding progress on execution of order
ii. Monitor timely delivery
of procured items to the respective Site as per schedule
iii. Monitor timely
resolution of any delivery related issues
iv. Monitor escalation of
certain vendor issues to the Buyers, if required
v. Monitor vendor
performance and compliance with respect to contracted SLAs
2) Monitor
post-Purchase Order activities with respect to imports of procured items
i. Communication with 3rd
party vendors and logistics team of international/domestic suppliers
ii. Monitor tracking of
shipment through delivery, in case of import orders
ii. Monitor timely
provision of documentation required for specific imports
iii. Monitor coordination
with the Imports (Customs) Group for clearance of imported items
iv. Monitor coordination
with the Customs Group with respect to various certificates required to be
obtained
3) Monitor safe
storage of all documentation related to procurement
i. Monitor compilation and
safe storage of all procurement related documents –purchase requisition,
request for quotation/ issue of inquiries / purchase orders/ vendor
acknowledgement / vendor confirmation receipt, GRN, response to all queries
etc. – both online and physical copies
ii. Monitor timely
retrieval and provision of documents as and when required
4) Interface with
various departments across the organization
i. Act as a Single Point of
Contact (SPOC) for the respective Site by expediting the process of procurement
delivery
ii. Ensure coordination
with the Site/ Project Teams for obtaining information on any delays/ issues
iii. Manage relationships
with multiple vendors for delivery follow-ups and for timely resolution of
issues
iv. Ensure coordination
with multiple Buyers for escalation of delivery issues, if required
5) MIS related activities:
i. Data management related
to purchasing activity.
Ii. Regular updation of MIS
related data
iii. Generate reports from
SAP/excel as and when required
iv. Create powerpoint
presentation for the group

JOB PURPOSE
The job involves developing
the Process Technology, from lab scale, to scaling up to Pilot/Demo Plant and
Commercializing the Process in the field of Biomass Conversion and Carbon
Dioxide Capture and Utilization. It involves:

Application of basic
Chemical engineering skills, such as Reaction kinetics, Reactor Design, Heat
and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Process Optimization and Process Economics.
·
Designing the lab/pilot
plant scale experiments, interpreting the data, develop the design basis,
techno-economic model of the process and preparing Process Design Package for
the cost-effective pilot plant/commercial scale plant.
·
Review of the design
packages from licensors or detail engineering contractors, process engineering
and costing of the process systems/projects, start up, commissioning of the
plants, development of the engineering resources, budget preparation and
monitoring for the effective working of the Process group.
