Job Description	Main Purpose: To support and render engineering assistance for the project engineering activities: Understand entire project engineering lifecycle and align with the concurrent engineering, procurement and construction activities. Optimization of material flow and layout already developed/ to be developed for optimizing the BOQs . Development of plant general layout for new units and creating master plans/layouts. Release of coordinates for site related enabling facilities. Documentation and record maintenance of layout and underground facilities. Thorough knowledge of Railways & logistics, statutory norms related to layouts. Finalise traffic planning of plant. Job Responsibility:  Conceptualize the material flow, optimize the material conveying distances . Layout norms and safety standards are followed. Check coordinates of different units and avoid interference during construction. Ensure compliance to Indian Railway standards for all rail track / hot metal track related layouts and execution at site. Suggest or modify the routings of conveyors, inter plant piping networks in case of any issues during engineering stage. To decide the location of enabling and infra facilities, road diversion schemes during construction. Coordinate with consultants and other area managers for release of coordinates of enabling and Infra facilities. Conceive all the temporary facilities that will be required during project stage of an Integrated Steel Plant. Maintain the history of all changes taking place in plant layout and related activities and retrieval system. Ensure all the project related documents are properly documented and available as records in archives. Estimation of volume of works . Rate analysis and cost estimates . Schedule of activities. Approval of Vendor drawings. Release of specifications, tender scrutiny and appraisal.
